Bone Grafting

Bone Grafting for Dental Implants in Marlton, NJ

Bone grafting helps patients who are not considered candidates for dental implants. Bone grafting builds up weak areas of the jaw so that there is enough structure to support the implants. Contact our office to find out if you are eligible for bone grafting surgery.

How does Bone Grafting Work?

Bone grafting for dental implants is a procedure where bone taken from another part of the body is surgically grafted to the jawbone. Sometimes synthetic bone is used (and sometimes even cadaver bone is used!). The bone graft is performed a few months before the dental implant procedure. This is to ensure that the area is recovered enough to support the implants. Some patients may be eligible for the bone graft to be performed at the same time as the dental implant procedure.
